The Simpson Strong-Tie PC Center Post Cap is designed with the post and beam flanges in-line so that the PC center post cap can accommodate many post sizes. The PC now uses easier-to-install 10d common nails saving you both time and labor. An alternate choice of fasteners is Strong-Drive #9x1 1/2" SD Connector screws. Zmax finish is standard to meet exposure conditions in many environments.

ZMax Galvanized Coating Information
ZMax Coating is a thicker coating (galvanized per ASTM A653 with a G185 coating) than the standard hot-dip galvanized coating (galvanized per ASTM A653 with a G90 coating). This thicker coating is available on select Simpson Strong-Tie connectors. Due to this increased galvanized thickness these connectors would be expected to have a longer service life than standard galvanized connectors.
