Simpson Strong-Tie LUS Type 316L Stainless Steel Double Shear Joist Hangers have double-shear nailing. This innovation distributes the load through two points on each joist nail for greater strength. It also allows the use of fewer nails, faster installation, and the use of standard nails for all connections. LUS Stainless Steel hangers are also approved for installation with SD9 Structural Screws.
Type 316L Connector Stainless Steel Information
Type 316L stainless steel is a nickel-chromium austenitic grade of stainless steel with 2-3% Molybdenum. Type 316L stainless steel is not hardened by heat treatment and is inherently nonmagnetic. It provides a level of corrosion protection suitable for severe environments, especially environments with chlorides. Type 316L stainless-steel fasteners are compliant with the 2012 and 2015 IBC and IRC.
